In the meantime I have written an axpoint-to-magicpoint converter,
also in XSLT. Shall I put it into a separate distribution on CPAN or
would you be interested in bundling it somewhere else?

There are many things that are waiting for a clever solution, but for
modest slideshows and people willing to do a little tweaking
themselves I think it's useable.
